ISLAMABAD Nov 20 (TNS): A suspect carrying a heavy cache of explosives was taken into police custody near the I-8 interchange in the federal capital on Monday.
The motorcyclist, identified as Saif-ur-Rehman, was using the wrong way to move towards the ongoing protest on the Faizabad interchange when he was stopped by the police.
After the suspected tried to flee after being stopped, the police arrested the man.
A total of 492 detonators and 196 explosive sticks were recovered from the man, who belongs to the Batkhela tehsil of the Malakand District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the police said.
He was shifted to the Aabpara Police Station for further investigation
