Dublin, Nov. 21 (TNS): Cricket Ireland have confirmed Malahide will be the venue for the country’s inaugural Test match against Pakistan in May next year.

Ireland joined the game’s top tier in June and will face the no 7-ranked visitors at the north Dublin venue between Friday 11 May and Tuesday 15 May 2018.

In recent times, Clontarf and Stormont cricket grounds have also hosted internationals.

“We are delighted that Malahide has agreed to host this historic game against Pakistan,” said CEO Warren Deutrom.

“Even in its short history of hosting our matches, the club has already given us some wonderful memories, and we trust that May 11th and its ensuing days will provide many more.

“We would like to thank the club’s members for their continuing hospitality.”

Tickets for the men in green’s debut in the five-day format will go sale tomorrow.
