ISLAMABAD, Nov 21 (TNS): Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that in prevailing situation there is no Democracy in the country rather it is actually under Judicial Martial Law.
He spilled the bean, which has the potential to draw a hot debate on mainstream media, during meet the press here on Tuesday at National Press Club.
He went on by saying that in the history of the nation the Supreme Court has disqualified everyone san that person (Parvaiz Musharaf) who trampled the constitution with impunity.
Javed Hashmi without naming Musharraf said that he had been dancing at PAF Base when the then premier Nwawz Sharif came back from Washington in the wake of Kargil war by conceding the positions Army had gained.
“At that time he (Musharraf) said thakfully Nawaz Sharif for saving their skin but just after four days he blamed govt for losing the war on table that was won on the field”. Added Hashmi
He said that apart from politicians, Generals and Judges too haven’t play their role as supposed to and the challenges we do face in present era is the consequence of that negligence.
“Unfortunately at a time when the country is at critical juncture institutions instead of sticking to their job, step in other areas interfere in what others are constitutionally supposed to do. Hasmi said indication towards establishment.
He said that the history is witness of the fact that courts have disqualified 70 people and Muhammad Ali Bogra retained them in just one order.
“Politicians too have always been playing in the hands of others and have never delivered according to their responsibilities, actually no one from Judges to Generals did and nowadays when some Generals comment and criticize on many issues on television channels but at the same time they defend the men of their own ranks and with this approach Pakistan cant progress”.
