Islamabad, Nov. 24 (TNS): President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday said the industrial zones being established under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) across the country will be based on improved infrastructure and the local industrialists will be given equal opportunities in these zones.
He was talking to a group of traders and industrialists from Karachi who called on him in Islamabad on Friday.
The President said the government is making concerted efforts to strengthen the local industry of the country.
He said no damage will be incurred upon local industry due to the Corridor project as it benefits both Pakistan and China.
Mamnoon Hussain said the development projects launched by federal Government in Sindh will be completed at a fast pace.
He said the incumbent Government has taken concrete steps for progress of the country’s trade and industry and tax refund for the traders will be started soon.
The President said Karachi Green line bus service will begin soon. He said more efforts will be required to curb street crimes.
He assured the visiting traders and industrialists that all out efforts will be made to address their problems.
