Symposium on Molecular Biology at MAJU tomorrow

KARACHI Nov 29 (TNS): Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi in collaboration with Musaji Adam & Sons is organizing a mini symposium on “Molecular Biology based on identification system” tomorrow (November 30) at University auditorium on the eve of World Diabetes day celebrations.

President, M.A .Jinnah University, (MAJU) Prof. Dr. Zubair Shaikh will inaugurate the symposium.

Those who will read their papers in this mini symposium are included Prof, Dr. Zaman Sheikh, Director, Sir Syed Institute of Diabetes & Endocrinology of Medical Sciences, Karachi, Prof. Dr. Kamran Azim, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences, MAJU, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, International centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences, Karachi University and Dr. Khitab Gul of department of Biosciences, MAJU.

It may be mentioned here that rapid Microbial identification system is ideal for environmental monitoring, contamination investigation, root cause analysis etc.

The system use in public health laboratories, academic and in research centers. One of the effective application of this system is the management of the patients with diabetic foot infection provide action against amputation or life threatening complications by rapid and accurate identification of a pathogen.

In addition, in islet transplantation is helpful in monitoring microbial contamination rates of islet cell product. Researchers on diabetes disease, students, teachers and eminent scholars have been invited to attend this symposium.
