ISLAMABAD Nov 30 (TNS):  Ninety security personnel were injured during the clashes between workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik and law enforcement out of which two officers, Amanat Ali and Aslam Hayat were abducted from the hospital and were nearly murdered. Thankfully, nothing happened to them.

Amanat Ali, while speaking to a private television channel, said that he was forcibly taken to the demonstration site by the protesters and brutally tortured him day and night. He added that the protesters were beating them up with electricity wires and batons.

“Not a single spot on my body remains where they didn’t beat me. You can see the scratches on my face. They were also saying that they would set them on fire,” he said.

“Our fault was that we were police officers. We were repeatedly saying that we are police officers and we did not attend any congregation nor attended any long march.” Ali said.

When being asked that why there was a change of heart in the protesters when they were about to set them on fire, the cop said that it was due to the Almighty’s mercy. He added, “They told them to stay quiet. Then we went to DHQ and today I was discharged and advised him two days of media rest”.

He said that he was in contact with any other official otherwise he would have come to know.
