Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrated in Pakistan with religious zeal, fervor

ISLAMABAD, Dec 02 (TNS): Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) was celebrated with religious zeal and fervor across the country, Pakistan.

The day dawned with thirty-one gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one gun salute in all the provincial capitals to pay homage to Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, the Last Prophet (PBUH).

Special prayers were offered in the mosques after Fajr prayer for peace, prosperity and development of the country.

Special conferences, events and Mehafil-e-Milaad were arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose whole life and teachings are beacon of light for the whole mankind.

In connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), a National Seerat Conference under the aegis of Ministry of Religious Affairs will be held in Islamabad tomorrow. President Mamnoon Hussain would be the chief guest at the moot which would be attended by a number of delegates from home and abroad.

Prominent Ulema highlighted various aspects of Seerat-un Nabi (PBUH) calling upon people to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) for their salvation.

Mosques, buildings, markets, streets and homes have been decorated and illuminated with colourful lights and buntings. People have also decorated their houses with colorful lights and green flags to show their immeasurable love for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, the Last Prophet (PBUH).

State-run Radio Pakistan and other media houses also broadcasted special programmes underlining different features of the life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

In Punjab, Milad processions were taken out in Lahore and all other cities and town in the province.

Arrangements were made by Punjab Emergency Service for providing assistance to the people and over nine thousand rescuers performed their duties in the province.

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), was also celebrated with religious zeal and fervor in Karachi and other parts of Sindh province.

In connection with the day, Mahafil-e-Naat and Milad were held all over the city while processions were taken out to express devotion and respect for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

The main procession in this regard was taken out from Memon Mosque this afternoon. The procession, after passing through its traditional routes, will culminate at Nishtar Park where main Mehfil-e-Milad will be held.

The government has made foolproof security arrangements for the day with deployment of law enforcement agency personnel along the routes of procession and venues of Mahafil-e-Milad.

Mobile phones service has also been suspended in Karachi for security reason.

Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) also celebrated in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan with religious zeal and fervour.

On the occasion Naat and speech contest was held in Women Degree College in Gilgit.

In Astore, Eid- Milad procession was taken out from Gurikot polo ground which passing through main road was culminated.

In his message on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH), President Mamnoon Hussain has stressed the need for following the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and promote his Uswah Hussana for the well-being of the humanity.

He said that we as the followers of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) should ensure peace and stability in the country obeying his teachings as his life is a complete example for us.

In his message, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi congratulated the entire nation on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) and urged the need for following the path of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) to create an environment of love, peace and harmony in the country.

He said the best way to celebrate this blessed day is an affirmation from ourselves to prove before the world with our character, way of talking and acts that we are the Ummah of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

The Prime Minister on this occasion also paid tribute to all martyrs, ghazis and mujahideen who offered great sacrifices for the defence of the motherland.
