‘It’s never too late to mend’ Ex-vice president of PML-N Javed Hashmi to rejoin party

LAHORE, Dec 03 (TNS): Reminding of the title of 1856 novel by the British writer Charles Reade ‘It’s never too late to mend’, Ex-vice president of PML-N and senior politician Javed Hashmi is likely to rejoin Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) as party president Nawaz Sharif has called him to Islamabad for a meeting.

According to sources, Hashmi will meet ousted premier Sharif tomorrow on December 4 and formally announce the news afterwards. He will also unveil his book “Zinda Tareekh” on the same after the meeting.

It is worth mentioning here that Javed Hashmi had earlier served as vice president of PML-N. The veteran politician left the party in December 2011 and joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Hashmi remained in PTI till October 2014 but left it after having differences with party chairman Imran Khan during the Islamabad sit-in.
