Load shedding over, biggest news of five years, CM Punjab played a pivotal role

LAHORE, Dec 05 (TNS): Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif can easily be dubbed as the second name of vision, sincerity hard work and dedication. He always thinks big not only for the province under his administration but for whole Pakistan.

His part is undeniably big in revolutionary change of taking Pakistan out of darkness to the light by ending the menace of load shedding which made Pakistani people to suffer for decades.

Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmad Leghari acknowledged that Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has a big role in it as the steps he has taken to establish the power plants for eliminating load shedding are appreciable. He said that the credit for adding electricity in national grid in such a huge way goes to Shahbaz Sharif in first place.

Addressing a news briefing in Islamabad Leghari has declared five thousand two hundred ninety seven feeders as load shedding free from Monday (December 4) in first phase of load shedding free Pakistan.

He said that only 236 feeders out of 8600 feeders were observing zero load shedding, while 63 percent of them have been made load shedding free.

The Minister said that zero load shedding feeders include LESCO 1227, GEPCO 748, FESCO 896, IESCO 710, MEPCO 763, PESCO 309, HESCO, 204, QUESCO 61 and tribal areas 29 feeders.

He said zero load shedding will be observed on feeders with below 10 percent losses.

The Minister said zero load shedding will be fully monitored to ensure uninterrupted electricity on the said feeders.

He also announced to abolish the urban and rural differentiation for load shedding to ensure equal distribution of electricity among the consumers.

Sardar Awais Leghari said 16, 477MW of electricity is being generated in the country as of today with 2700 megawatt surplus power.

He urged the people to cooperate with the power distributing companies to overcome electricity theft so that loadshedding can be eliminated hundred percent.

To a question, Awais Khan Leghari said that over billing is not allowed at all.

He said that the PML-N is committed to fulfill its election vows to end load shedding in the country.

He had a meeting with Shahbaz Sharif as well during which  the later  said that the present Gov’t has fulfilled its pledge of putting an end to the load shedding the achievement that previous Govt’s have never been able to make. He said that despite creating unfavorable conditions by some political elements the Govt has completed these mega projects in record time durations something these elements should feel ashamed now. Pakistan’s history is not witness of mega development projects being completed in such short span of time. He added

To the people Pakistan the end of the load shedding is the biggest news of five years as Sharif’s kept their promise to end the darkness. Today, electricity is being generated in Pakistan. At present, more than 27000 Mw of electricity is available in the country. The difference in supply between urban and rural areas is being minimised.

On the other hand Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb also has said that the pledge of PML-N Gov’t in particular of Sharif Brothers to end load shedding has been fulfilled.

Talking to newsmen outside premises of accountability court in Islamabad on Monday morning, she said with the announcement of zero load shedding yesterday, darkness is now over.

The Minister of State said when the present government was establishing power plants, a person was hurling abuses on institutions and attacking parliament.
