Shehbaz Sharif helps kids suffering from Hypercholesterolemia

LAHORE Dec 9 (TNS): On the direction of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah has constituted a Special Board for the medical check and treatment of the members of the family of Muhammad Zubair, r/o Haveli Lakha.

Earlier, Chief Minister had taken the notice of a report aired on electronic media regarding the ailment of children who are suffering from hypercholesterolemia. The father of the children had appealed to the Chief Minister for providing treatment of his children.

A spokesman of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department informed that the Secretary Health Najam Ahmed Shah has constituted a Special Medical board.

It comprises of Prof. Faisal Masood, Vice Chancellor University of Health Science as convener of the board while other members of the board are included Prof. Mahmood Ayaz Principal Services Institute of Medical Sciences / Services Hospital, Dr. Khadija Irfan Associate Professor Head of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, Services Hospital, Prof. Sajid Nisar Professor of Medicines Services Hospital, Head of the Pathology Department Services Hospital and Medical Superintendent Services Hospital.

The spokesman further said that the special medical board will meet periodically to review the condition of the patients and taking measures in accordance to it for provision of medical treatment. The Medical Board will also ascertain the nature of their diseases and propose further course of the management as well as to ascertain the estimated cost.

Medical Superintendent Services Hospital will ensure to facilitate the family of the patients and provide the requisite medicines / surgical disposable to them as when required. The proceeding of the Medical Board will be furnished to the department on weekly basis. The special medical board will meet immediately on Saturday.
