In-time fair and free general elections vital for Pakistan’s future: Hamza Shahbaz

LAHORE Dec 11 (TNS): Central Leader of Pakistan Muslim League and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has said that holding of in-time fair and free general elections are vital for the future of Pakistan otherwise nothing would be left but darkness and disappointment.

He said that development of country is more important than the power and policies, and democracy should continue at any cost so that sustainable development could be ensured.

He was addressing Rs. 7 billions worth 4th phase of Lap Top Distribution Ceremony here at Aiwan-e-Iqbal having 1,16,000 lap tops.

Hamza Shahbaz said that achievements in the field of education in Punjab are remarkable and new trends have been set by PML(N) Government and it has been determined that no one gets popularity with hollow slogans while practical work has to be done. He said that leadership is not based upon making tall claims nor masses can be satisfied with false promises.

Hamza Shahbaz said that now we all should become mature in the national politics and refrain from leg-pulling and demonstrate unity and solidarity for the sake of this country. He said the people of Pakistan are to decide their next mandate in 2018 and that which party enjoys the majority.  He said that those who were criticizing Metro Bus in Punjab are now trying to copy the same project in the last year of the government in KPK Province.

Hamza Shahbaz said that welfare of the masses is the job of real leadership and new generation is the future of this atomic power Pakistan.

He claimed that only in Punjab Sahiwal Coal Project, Bhikki, Haveli Bahadur Shah and Bahawalpur Solar Projects have been completed which is going to end load shedding. He said that we all should endeavor to build Pakistan according to the dreams of Quaid and Iqbal and this generation is full of talent to achieve that goal. He said that only from Danish School 500 students are getting lap tops while overall 1,16,000 students would be getting benefit of this 4th phase.

Hamza Shahbaz said that Rs 17 billion were being distributed as scholarship through Punjab Endowment Fund for 2, 35,000 students which would be increased up to 3,50,000 students with the addition of Rs 6 billion. He said that there is not a single penny corruption in the projects of Punjab and who are leveling allegations should come in the Courts with proofs. Hamza Shahbaz also joined the students in singing national songs.

Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Members of National and Provincial Assemblies, PML(N) Lahore Secretary Information Imran Ali Goraya, Vice Chancellors, Secretary Higher Education, Teachers and students attended this graceful ceremony in a large number.
