Islamabad, Dec. 12 (TNS): City police on Tuesday sealed majority of the routes leading to Red Zone by placing containers and barbed wires to stop the entry of participants of Jamat-e-Islami long march who are demanding merger of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhaw province.

The JI march started from Bab-e-Khyber Peshawar to protest against the delay in the merger.

The district administrations of Islamabad have chalked out a plan to avert any untoward incident and block the entry of the rally in the federal capital, especially in the Red Zone.

Heavy contingents of police have been deployed in the Red Zone as well as various other parts of the city.
