ISLAMABAD Dec 13 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has directed the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom to devise a framework for the establishment of Technology Special Economic Zones across the country.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting to review fiscal and non-fiscal incentives for Information Technology sector of the country.
During the meeting, Minister of State for IT & Telecom, Anusha Rahman Khan gave a detailed presentation on existing IT Exports and domestic IT business potential in terms of industry revenue.
The Prime Minister was informed that IT Export got doubled during the last four years and due to effective policy measures, Pakistan is being ranked at number three in freelancing.
