Martyrs of Pakistan army laid to rest

Lahore/Gilgit, Dec. 13 (TNS): Martyrs of Pakistan army have been laid to rest after funerals in their natives areas.

The body of Second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed Shaheed was laid to rest at Cavalry Ground Shuhada Graveyard in Lahore on Wednesday.

Earlier, his funeral prayers were offered at Ayub Stadium Lahore. Twenty-one year old Abdul Moeed from Northern Light Infantry Unit was martyred along with a sepoy in a terror attack in North Waziristan a day earlier.

Corp Commander Lahore Lt. General Amir Riaz , DG Rangers Punjab Maj. Gen. Azhar Naveed , Station Commander Pak Navy Commodore S.M Shehza, Lord Mayor Lahore Mubasir Javed and other prominent personalities attended the funeral prayer.

Sepoy Bashrat Hussain Shaheed of Northern Light Infantry Regiment was also laid to rest at Danyore, Gilgit today.His Namaz-e- Jinaza was offered at Oashkandas in Danyore.Chief Minister Hafeez-ur-Rehamn , Commander Force Command Northern Area Maj. Gen. Saqib Mehmood Malik, DG Gilgit Baltistan Scouts Brigadier Ibrar Ahmed  IGP Sabir Ahmed  and other civil and military officials attended his funeral prayers.
