Praises Erdogan for his courage and steadfastness over Muslim world’s well-being and says Allah has rewarded him for his selfless service to Turkish nation and the Muslim World
LAHORE Dec 14 (TNS): CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif was all praise for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while meeting him on the sidelines of the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held over US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
At a meeting with Erdogan, Shehbaz Sharif lauded his role in the OIC summit and praised him for his courage and steadfastness over Muslim World’s well-being.
He said that Turkish people and democracy have won under the leadership of Erdogan. He lauded his efforts for the development of Turkey and prosperity of the Turkish nation.
Shehbaz Sharif also said the Turkish people love their leader and the democratic system. He said that Allah has rewarded Erdogan for his selfless service to his nation and the Muslim World.
During the meeting, bilateral discussion was held regarding the US announcement about recognizing occupied Bait-ul-Muqaddas as the Israeli capital in addition to further expansion of Pak-Turk relations.
Turkish President and the Chief Minister strongly condemned the US announcement of accepting occupied Bait-ul-Muqaddas as the Israeli capital and termed it as adding salt to injury of Muslim Ummah.
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan also discussed other matters of mutual interest during the meeting.
Earlier the chief minister was warmly received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who expressed the sentiments of good gesture when Shehbaz Sharif reached there to attend the OIC Conference.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed the participation of Punjab Chief Minister in the conference and said that he welcomes the participation of Shehbaz Sharif in the special session of OIC Conference.
He accompanied Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who led the Pakistani delegation at the OIC summit. The summit was chaired by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose country holds the rotating chairmanship of the OIC.
