Security at all places of worship beefed up after the Quetta Blast

ISLAMABAD, Dec 17(TNS):  Security at all places of worship has been beefed up after the Quetta Blast earlier today. So far seven people are reported dead and another 35 reported injured in the dead blast that took place near a church in Quetta just a short while back.

CCPO Lahore Captain (retired) Amin Wains has confirmed declaring of security high alert in the city. He has issued directions to all the divisional SPs to visit the places of public recreational personally and has also directed security high alert at all the churches of the city.The DIG Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf has also issued directives to the Dolphin Force and personnel of PRU to ensure effective patrolling.Faisalabad police has informed that police personnel at all entry and exits routes to and from the city are put on high alert while security of church-goers would also be ensured.

The security is also been further beefed up at all public places, government buildings, and important places of the city.Meanwhile, DIG Sindh A G Khawaja has also issued directive to make the overall security fool-proof. He has issued directive to make concrete and extraordinary security arrangements at all important places, sensitive installations, important office buildings, and public places all across the province.IG Khawaja has also directed to further speed up intelligence based actions against the criminals and crimes in all the districts of Sindh and to make random snap checking, police patrolling and other security works more coordinated and effective.

He has also directed to further beef up all the security measures in all police ranges and at all district and zonal levels
