ISLAMABAD Dec 20 (TNS):Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Minister for Tourism, Fida Khan on Wednesday said the provincial government is focusing on promotion of tourism in the region.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he said a tourist resort is being set up in Attabad at a cost of Rs 552 million.
The GB Tourism department with assistance of Environment department would complete all the development schemes with special focus not to harm natural environment in the area, he added.

The Minister said special focus was being made on cleanliness in tourist places in GB.
He said the government wanted promotion of tourism sector keeping in view its huge potential to generate income for national kitty and has taken important decisions for its uplift.
