ISLAMABAD Dec 20 (TNS): All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has started its election campaign and announced its public meetings schedule ahead of general elections to be held in 2018.
A political alliance lead by APML Chairman, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf will hold a public meeting in Karachi in January 2018. General Musharraf on November 10 had announced formation of Pakistan Awami Ittehad (PAI). PAI will hold public meeting in Karachi to which General Musharraf will address.
Meanwhile APML Central information department in a press release has said that the party with start its election campaign and hold public meetings in all major cities of the country. On January 7, APML will hold public meeting in Lahore, on January 14 Islamabad, on January 21 Sahiwal, on January 25 Multan and on January 28 in Peshawar.
APML has also formed election cells on federal and provincial level to scrutinize aspiring candidates for the party tickets from different constituencies of the country. Election cells will forward their recommendations to the party’s high ups for selection of candidates and awarding tickets.
