LAHORE Dec 21 (TNS): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar along with Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed paid a visit to Mayo Hospital in Lahore.
According to details, CJP visited emergency, medical and surgical wards and met patients while he also scolded chief secretary for combine wards of males and females and ordered to separate them. Health Secretary Najam Shah was also present on the occasion.
The justice inspected surgical tower that is under adjournment for 10 years. He asked the patients to fearlessly tell their problems and condition of clean water in the hospital.
Saqib Nisar said that provision of health and clean water facilities should be first priority of the government and that no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
CJP further assured to appreciate every step taken for the welfare of the locals. He asked the chief secretary to stay with him for a whole week to monitor the status of facilities being provided to the people. “We took steps for improving Karachi’s condition now its Lahore’s turn,” he continued.
