Nation pays Tribute to Quaid on his 141st birth anniversary

KARACHI, Dec 25 (TNS): The 141st birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation is being celebrated throughout the country with traditional zeal and fervour.

A change of guard ceremony was held at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi in the morning.

A contingent from the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul assumed guards’ duties at the mausoleum.

President Mamnoon Hussain, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and other high officials visited the mausoleum where they placed floral wreaths and offered Fateha.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi.

To mark the day, several programs including seminars, conferences and sports events have been arranged in different cities and towns to pay tribute to the great leader and highlight his life and leadership who acquired a separate homeland for the Muslims of sub-continent.

The celebrations would be aimed at educating the youth about the Quaid’s vision and Pakistan’s ideology.

National flags are hoisted atop all public and private buildings today. A large number of people from all walks of life visit the tomb to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam for his services he rendered for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent.
