Rs 345b being spent for promotion of school education in Punjab

ISLAMABAD, Dec 28 (TNS): In Punjab, three hundred and forty five billion rupees are being spent for the promotion of school education and improvement of educational sector.

Punjab Minister for Cooperatives, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said that about four lakh and sixty two thousand females are enrolled in the sixteen backward districts of Punjab due to education friendly policies of the government , Radio Pakistan reported.

Minister said that forty percent more additional resources have been provided to District Education Authorities to ensure the one hundred percent admission ration of children, provision of free books for international standard and for the success of Early Childhood Education Programme in the province.

Muhammad Iqbal Channar said that in Gross Enrollment Rate for Primary Level, Punjab is leading with ninety eight percent in the country.
