TOKYO Dec 28 (TNS): Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono says his country believes in the two-state solution for resolution of the Palestinian issue.
He was talking to Anadolu news agency before leaving for Turkey on the invitation of his Turkish counterpart.
Taro Kono said Japan would back non-military initiatives for resolving the conflict in Syria.
The Japanese foreign minister is to visit Turkey today to enhance bilateral cooperation on regional and international issues.
