ISLAMABAD Dec 29 (TNS): A special show was organized at Radio Pakistan’s headquarters in Islamabad in connection with Christmas and New Year.
Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Shafqat Jalil was chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, he highlighted the importance of celebrating Christmas and New Year.
The Director General said Radio Pakistan is working with national spirit to celebrate such events including Eid, Christmas and all other religious festivals.
Director Programme Fayyaz Baloch said Radio Pakistan always promoted tolerance and interfaith harmony by organizing such programs.
Besides senior officials of Radio Pakistan, the event was also attended by religious leaders of Christian community.
In their remarks they appreciated Radio Pakistan for organizing special event on the occasion of Christmas.
Special programs including Christmas cake cutting ceremony, erection of Christmas tree, distribution of sweets and gifts by Santa Claus, live folk musical performances were witnessed at the event.
