KARACHI Dec 29 (TNS): Associate Dean, Business Administration & Social Sciences Faculty, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi Dr. Shujaat Mubarak expressed his satisfaction over the performance of young students in the field of Engineering and Technology which shows that our nation is fully capable to take advantage of resources available here.
This he stated while he inaugurated an engineering projects exhibition “Junior Spark-2017, organized by MAJU Engineering & Technology Students Society at university campus, yesterday. Director, QEC, Dr.Munir Hussain, organizers of the exhibition Waheed Uddin Haider and Hafiz Mohammad Shoaib Azher, senior faculty members and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
Addressing to the gathering, Dr. Shujaat Mubarak said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a very huge project which requires a large number of engineers for its completion. He said that we are very lucky that we are now in a position to take advantage of latest technology of China through CPEC project.
He said that it is the right time for us to introduce new technology at gross route level which is also beneficial for general public. He said that a wrong impression is being created by some quarters that China is bringing its own manpower for the completion of CPEC projects is not justified because sufficient number of experts are required here to utilize china’s modern technology.
MAJU students who presented their projects in exhibition were included life detector, floor cleaner, temperature control fan, car race track game, electrical boat, four way traffic control system, robotic arm, (Gesture control) solar mobile charger, line follower robots, temperature sensor, spider board, cam car, metal detector, rain alarm system, mobile phone signal detector, groovy lights, clap switch, earth quake detector, voice control car, robotic soccer player, street light system and laser security system.
According to the judge’s decision robotic arm ( Gesture control) project made by Abdullah Wasim, Uzair and Haris given first position, laser security system of Ramsha Javaid, laiba Ahmed, Faiza, Sunbal and Laiba Samad remained second and robotic soccer player project of Mubeen, Aron and Asadullah secured third position.
