LAHORE Dec 30 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday submitted resolution in Punjab Assembly against exorbitant rise in Toll tax for travelling on Lahore’s ring road.
The resolution demands Punjab govt to take back the unfair hike as it would tremendously add pressure to the lives of already inflation-stricken commuters.
The Lahore Ring Road authorities (LRRA) have silently increased the toll tax from Rs. 120 to Rs. 350 for trucks and trailers.
Two days after the inauguration of Southern Loops 1 and 2 of LRR, the authorities increased toll tax by 75% to 192%. Likewise, Toll tax for cars and jeeps has been increased to Rs35 from Rs20.
