KARACHI Dec. 30 (TNS): Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has said that Thar coal reserves containing 175 billion tons will help to meet country energy needs for a long time to come.
Speaking at an interactive session on energy in Karachi, he said that investment of 4.5 billion dollars in Thar is very significant.
He said the federal government will extend every cooperation for the welfare of the people of Thar.
The Governor said that generation of power from Thar coal would commence from 2019 and this will contribute towards prosperity in the area.
