FIA to have over 3800 new recruitments to meet staff shortage

ISLAMABAD Dec 31 (TNS): More than 3800 new recruitments have been decided in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) by the authorities. The decision to make new recruitments has been taken to meet the staff shortage from which the FIA has long been suffering.
According to the sources, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has prepared summary report for the recruitment of 3800 personnel, to be sent later to the PM house for approval.
Setting up of new directorates of FIA in Gilgit, Multan and Hyderabad has also been proposed in the summary.
According to the summary, the estimated budget for the proposed recruitment and development of new directorates is 2 billion 37 million rupees.
The recruited staff will be placed wherever the staff is required.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been informed about the increasing burden of work on the FIA. Compared to last year, the work burden is almost doubled now.
FIA is also faced with new responsibilities and challenges, but so far no steps have taken to enhance the FIA’s capability and desirable facilities.
