Islamabad, Jan. 1 (TNS): Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq says the upcoming year 2018 will usher the country into a new era of sustained economic growth and consolidation of democracy.
In his felicitation message to the nation on the eve of New Year, he expressed the hope that the dawn of 2018 will bear witness to our efforts as a nation for consolidating our march towards peace and prosperity.
The Speaker said terrorism in the death knell in Pakistan and the country is set to overcome the mounting challenges.
He paid a rich tribute to the services of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for the defense, integrity and security of Pakistan and added that the nation stands in solidarity with the families of martyrs.
Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi has also felicitated the nation on the advent of New Year and expressed hope that the New Year will be a year of peace, stability and harmony in the region and beyond.
