Rawalpindi, Jan. 1 (TNS): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday visited family of Second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed Shaheed at Lahore, ISPR said in a statement.
21 years aged Second Lieutenant Moeed laid his life for motherland at NWA on 11th December.
COAS acknowledged courage and determination of the family and great sacrifice by son of the soil.
Commander Lahore Corps was also present.
Earlier, Namaz e Janaza of Gen Khalid Shameem Wynne, (Retired), former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was held at Lahore Garrison on Monday.
Chairman JCS Committee, Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Corps Commander Lahore, Lt Gen Aamer Riaz and large number of civil & military personnel including senior retd Army offrs attended the funeral. Later the deceased General was buried at Lahore with full military honor.
