ISLAMABAD Jan 03 (TNS): Former President of the Ministry of Commerce Cooperative Housing Society, Rana Ghulam Farid’s brother Rana Shahid Sarwar has filed an application with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) headquarters asking to hold inquiry against the NAB officers involved in corruption.

According to the application filed Nasir Iqbal Mirza DG Rawalpindi, DGHR Malik Shakeel Anjum and Director Vigilant Col (Retd) Javed in collaboration with land mafia tried to take possession of Ministry of Commerce Cooperative Housing Society.

It said on complaint, the honorable chairman NAB himself called my brother Rana Ghulam Farid from the jail on 16-11-2016 and heard all the facts and ordered a probe against the NAB officers trying to bring bad name to the NAB, but so far nothing has taken place.

“Due to the involvement of these officers in corruption questions can be raised upon NAB’s credibility and for not attending to probe ordered since long,” says the application.

The application filed with the NAB further said that Rana Ghulam Farid’s wife, his daughter and Rana Shahid Sarwar himself is being threatened by the above-mentioned officers to withdraw the application filed with NAB otherwise they must be prepared to face dangerous consequences.

The application says the present situation is that NAB officers Aamir Marth and Qasim Khan along with their B-team i.e. land mafia‘s members Ali Billa, Aamir Shah etc. who already have a criminal record are pressurizing the applicant the application against the said NAB officers filed with the NAB be immediately withdrawn.

It is to be noted that the applicant Rana Shahid Sarwar and Rana Ghulam Farid’s wife have lodged an FIR in the concerned police station against the NAB officers Aamir Marth and Qasim Khan along with their B-team i.e. land mafia‘s members Ali Billa, Aamir Shah for issuing a warning to them with dire consequences.

The application seeks further information regarding the whole matter, besides holding and immediate inquiry in order to unearth any other fact and to save the applicant against any untoward development.

Let it be mentioned here that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had instructed the department to pursue logical conclusion of at least 179 mega corruption references filed with the bureau citing huge debts that Pakistan owes to world organizations ranging up to some USD84billion.

The NAB chief has said that the officials must pursue cases against the alleged criminals without worrying about external pressures and influences aiming to hinder the proceedings. Justice (r) Iqbal said that some 96 mega corruption references were forwarded to courts, 25 are under probes and officials are investigating another 25 references.
