ISLAMABAD, Jan 05 (TNS): The Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman has placed another list of demands before Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as a reward to rescue Balochistan government.
According to details PM Abbasi and Maulana Fazalur Rehman discussed the issue of FATA merger with Khyber Pukhtoonkwa (KP) and crisis in Balochistan government as Federal minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFFRON) Abdul Qadir was also present on the occasion.
According to sources the JUI-F chief demanded much better slots in Balochistan cabinet and assurance government will not press for FATA-KP merger.
The Prime Minister has sought time for consultation to accomplish his demands.
Sources told that the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has requested him withdrawal of no-confidence motion against Balochistan government, however Maulana Fazal Rehmand in response said that he will reply him after the consultation with provincial leadership.

“Although it is a provincial issue and we are in opposition in Balochistan, we need time to further deliberations on the issue,” he said.
On December 19, 2017, the Chief of Jamiat Ulem-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman met with PM Abbasi and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed the issue of FATA. Talking to media after meeting JUI chief said that he has presented his stance and reservations on FATA clearly.
“I told them FATA is not a province but national issue and it should be solved restricting under the constitution and even, if needed, legal experts should be consulted, ” he suggested.

He mentioned that he advised the PM Abbasi to meet with the FATA Jirga’s supreme Council for the right solution of the issue.
