ISLAMABAD Jan 05 (TNS): Former Air Chief Air Marshal Asghar Khan passed away at CMH in Rawalpindi on Friday morning after protracted illness. He was ninety-six.
According to his family sources, Namaz-e-Janaza would be offered at Nawan Shehr in Abbottabad on Saturday.

Retired Air Marshal Asghar Khan was a veteran politician, aviation historian and first native commander in chief of Pakistan Air Force.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Air Marshal retired Asghar Khan.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman also paid tribute to Asghar Khan and said that he played a key role in making PAF a modern Air Force.
