Former Air Chief Marshal Asghar Khan laid to rest with state honor

Abbottabad, Jan. 6 (TNS): Former Air Chief Marshal Asghar Khan on Saturday was laid to rest with state honor in his native village near Abbottabad.

Earlier, Funeral prayers for former Air Chief Air Marshal Asghar Khan were offered at Noor Khan Airbase Rawalpindi on Saturday morning.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, members of the cabinet, chiefs of the armed forces and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat attended the funeral prayers.

A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented salute to late Air Marshal Asghar Khan.

Asghar Khan laid to rest with state honor in his native village Nawan Shehr near Abbottabad.
