Federal Gov’t picks Majeed Dasti among three names proposed by Sindh Gov’t to appoint new IG Sindh

ISLAMABAD, Jan 07(TNS):  The federal government has recommended the name of Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti as IG Sindh to replace present IG AD Khawaja on the proposal given by the Sindh government in its letter to federal government.

Sindh government has proposed the names of Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti, on top of list, Ghulam Qadir Thebu and Kaleem Imam to replace the current IG Sindh AD Khawaja. Sindh Gov’t Proposes Three Names for IG Sindh Federal government has sent a letter to establishment division saying that Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti has two to three years of service and he is also senior officer rest of the other two.

Federal government has sent three names to establishment division for considering new IG Sindh, they are Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti, Arif Nawaz and Mehr Khaliq Dadluck, however Khaliq Dad had never been performed duties in Sindh while their seniority is contradict to Supreme Court orders in this connection. Furthermore, Khaliq Dad recently appointed as additional IG Sindh and Arif Nawz as IG Punjab, therefore their immediate transfer is not possible, letter stated.
