LAHORE Jan 10 (TNS): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says elimination of poverty from South Punjab is priority of the government.
He was talking to the Minister of State for Overseas Pakistani Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju and PML-N leader Siddique Baloch in Lahore on Wednesday.
He said billions of rupees are being spent on development projects in South Punjab.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Technology has been established in Rahim Yar Khan.
He said constructions of Muzaffargarh-Dera Ghazi Khan road have started and Safe City Projects are underway in Multan and Bahawalpur.
Shehbaz Sharif said PML-N government has introduced the ‘Zewar-e-Taleem and Khadim-e- Punjab Ujala program in backward areas of the province.
