ISLAMABAD, Jan 10 (TNS): In the wake of tremendous public response to the NAB Chairman Justice (R) javed Iqbal’s initiative to listen to and accept the public complaints directly on last Thursday of every month has now issued directive to all the regional bureau chiefs of the apex anti-corruption watchdog told to hear public complaints of corruption in same fashion.
Just after taking charge of the institution the NAB chief had announced his plans to hear directly the complaints of the public relating to corruption and corrupt practices at the NAB Headquarters on the last Thursday of every month between 2pm to 4pm. Since then he used to hear complaints of people from all parts of the country and tried to resolve their problems as per law.
After the initiative triggered overwhelming response despite him extending his time up to 5 hours but the he couldn’t manage to handle the rush all alone.
NAB Chairman has now directed director generals of all regional bureaus to listen to public complaints relating to corruption and corrupt practices at their respective regional bureaus on the last Thursday of every month between 2pm to 4pm so that complaints which fall under their jurisdiction can be addressed as per law.
The NAB chief urged complainants to bring complete applications and documenters relating to corruption along with their computerised national identity cards.
