ISLAMABAD Jan 13 (TNS): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan says the government is keen to accelerate the pace of economic growth in the country.
He was talking to a delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President Zahid Latif Khan which called on him in Islamabad Friday.
The Special Assistant said upcoming budget would be business friendly and pro-industry and it would include several innovative policy measures to shore up the growth rate.
The delegation said that the business community and chambers were keen to work with the Government to broaden the tax base and add more people to the tax net.
