JIT to submit third quarterly report today

Islamabad June 22 (TNS): The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the Panama Papers case submitted the third quarterly report to the Supreme Court on Thursday.

The JIT chief Wajid Zia submitted the third quarterly inquiry report to the Panama Papers implementation bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan.

The third quarterly report was submitted after the JIT investigated Prime Minister and Punjab Chief Minister in the Panama scam. It is expected that the JIT report will contain all the relevant information that has been elicited from the Sharif brothers about the Huddabiya Paper Mill, Gulf Steel Mill, London flats and other foreign holdings of the Sharif family.

The Supreme Court special bench has expressed its satisfaction on the so far performance of the JIT, impressing upon it to complete the inquiry within 60 days.
