CTD head Additional IG Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi that they have identified 25 such websites, which are involved in spreading religious and ethnic extremism and terrorism.

He also said that some websites were promoting radical thoughts.  CTD assessed that such sites often acted as ‘entry sites’ for individuals who were easily influenced to join extremist groups.

Abbasi said that several websites have already been banned on the CTD’s recommendation. Those websites were involved in spreading extremism and promoting intolerance.
