Islamabad June 22 (TNS): Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, who was talking to the media outside the Supreme Court, suddenly found herself in the circle of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers who insisted her to leave the dais set up outside the apex court.

While the information minister was speaking, PTI workers led by Uzma Kardar approached the dais from behind and started arguing with the minister asking her to leave the podium without further “murmuring” as they (PTI) could no more wait in the sweltering heat.  The minister, who throughout the episode remained composed and calm, soon turned to the cameras and termed the PTI a party of hooligans and bullies.

“They don’t accept dissenting voice and political differences. The want to browbeat everyone who doesn’t subscribe to their point of view or ideology,” she said asking the PTI workers to exhibit bullying and hooliganism at their party leader’s Bani Gala residence. “We have lion behind us, we have a lion in front of us.

We cannot be bullied and coerced. We are workers of a tiger,” she said while referring to their party leader and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Aurangzeb said that while the Sharif family including the prime minister presented itself for accountability despite legal immunity, PTI leader Imran Khan continues to evade courts in the foreign funding and money-laundering cases. “Imran Khan has received money from Jews and Hindus. He has received money from undisclosed sources but he continues to dodge courts and election commission while demanding the resignation of the prime minister, whose name is not included in the Panama Papers at all,” she said.

The minister said that in 2014 sit-in, the PTI chief looked at an empire to lift his finger but he could not come to his rescue. “This time again, no umpire will come to save him from the public disgrace,” she said adding the PTI chief was bent on derailing democracy and development of the country.
