Hamilton, Jan. 16 (TNS): On heels of a fourth consecutive defeat, Pakistan national cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said that he was disappointed with the team’s performance during One-Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand.

Pakistan scored a total 262 in 50 overs of the fourth ODI which was comfortably chased down by New Zealand courtesy a 163-run partnership between Henry Nicholls and Collin de Grandhomme. Opener Fakhar Zaman (54), Haris Sohail (50), Muhamamd Hafeez (81) and Sarfaraz (51) were amongst the highest run-scorers for the visitors.

The skipper, however, lauded performances of Fakhar, Haris saying there were positives to take from the match and also praised Kiwi match winners Nicholls and de Grandhomme.

“There were some positives from this game. Haris batted well, Fakhar batted well. We felt good when we scored 262, but credit goes to de Grandhomme. It was a great innings.” Sarfaraz said.
