SHEIKHUPURA/LAHORE, June 23 (TNS): At least four persons died and 17 others were injured in separate road mishaps in Sheikhupura and Lahore on Friday morning. Police said that an over speeding truck hit a Lahore bound car coming from Sargodha with six people on board at motorway near Sheikhupura Interchange.
Four car riders identified as Waseem, Mubashir, Ijaz and Ibrahim who were on their way to Lahore for Eid shopping expired on the scene while two others were critically injured in the dreadful road mishap. A woman among 15 people was injured in collision between two buses at Multan Road near Sundar area of the provincial capital Lahore. The injured were shifted to local hospital where the woman and two others were referred to Jinnah Hospital due to critical condition.
Separate cases were registered into both incidents at concerned police stations and investigation was in progress.
