ISLAMABAD Jan. 22 (TNS): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged India to change its approach and come to the dialogue table for resolution of the Kashmir issue.

He was speaking during his visit to a hospital in Shakargarh to inquire about the health of those who were wounded in firing by Indian forces along the Working Boundary.

The Minister said future of the region is linked with peace not with war.

He said bunkers are being constructed along the Working Boundary in Narowal and Sialkot sectors.

Meanwhile, talking to a private news channel, the Interior Minister said continuity of democratic system is in the best national interest as the country cannot flourish without it.

He said some elements are trying to de-rail the democratic system but they will not be able to succeed in their objectives.

The minister said the politics of protests has badly damaged the image of the country as well as national economy.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government has ended energy crisis, reduced terrorism, improved national economy, overcome power load-shedding and restored peace across the country.
