Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip. In present-day Australia, celebrations reflect the diverse society and landscape of the nation and are marked by community and family events, reflections on Australian history, official community awards and citizenship ceremonies welcoming new members of the Australian community.

APIT is the first institute approved by Australian government. This is an initiative which is certainly going to change the educational landscape in Pakistan.

Education with a focus on skill enhancement in a short period of time is the focus of this institute. APIT is offering Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Accounting, Business and ICT. This really constitutes the Associate Degree as we used to call it. Although the courses will finish within a year and a half but the skills, the student will be acquiring will be phenomenal compared to a typical four year Bachelor’s degree.

APIT believes that a country like Pakistan, with 66% of population representing a vibrant and energetic youth, and with proper training and education, Pakistan will be the next “Super Power” – in terms of “Human Resources”. The intellectual development and skills enhancement of our youth, par with the international standards are paramount to national prosperity. Australia is fortunate to have a world-leading Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. This crucial sector injects billions of dollars into the Australian economy every year. It is vital for the development of national workforce as well a major export industry.

APIT is not running free in the world of Vocational Education and Training (VET). The industry APIT operates in is heavily regulated. Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the relevant body when it comes to approving the courses and organizations. APIT is a Registered Training Organization (RTO) approved by ASQA. ASQA’s main aim to build the trust of the parents, students, employers and the governments as a whole in the trainings outcomes delivered by Australian RTOs’. ASQA compliance requirements are in full swing even if an organization decides to set up an offshore campus.
