ISLAMABAD Jan 26 (TNS): Most of the motorways and highways have been closed due to intense fog in the country.
M-1 from Peshawar to Burhan has been closed due to intense foggy conditions.
According to a spokesman of Motorway Police, M2 from Lahore to Pindi Bathiyan, M3 from Pindi Bathiyan to Faisalabad, and M4 from Faisalabad to Gojra and Khanewal to Multan are also closed due to intense fog.
Visibility from Lahore to Mureedkey is 20 to 30 meters.
The Motorway Police has asked the commuters to avoid unnecessary travelling, use fog lights, do not overtake and avoid using mobile phone while driving in the foggy condition.
They have also been asked to contact Motorway Police Helpline 130 in case of any emergency.
