Islamabad June 23 (TNS): Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Director-General Maj-Gen Musarrat Nawaz Malik called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday and briefed him on the progress made in the PIA drug smuggling case.
The interior minister was informed that most of the criminals have already been arrested in the light of the investigation carried out in the case.
Nisar asked the ANF chief to direct the authorities to speed up the pace of the investigation into the episode that tarnished the national image globally.
He also issued directives to convert the incident into a test case and conduct an in-depth investigation to reach the logical conclusion at the earliest.
