CEO Nestlé Pakistan Limited Bruno Olierhoek elected President of OICCI

KARACHI Feb 01 (TNS): Mr. Bruno Boris Olierhoek, Chief Executive Officer, Nestlé Pakistan Limited has taken over as the President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) for the 2018 term.

This was announced at the 158th Annual General Meeting of the OICCI held at the Chamber. Ms Shazia Syed CEO Unilever Pakistan Limited was elected unopposed as the Vice President.

The other elected members of the OICCI Managing Committee for 2018 are as follows: Mr. Ghias Uddin Khan, President & Chief Executive Officer Engro Corporation Limited, Mr. Sarim Sheikh President & Chief Executive Officer General Electric International Operations, Mr. Muhammad Tayyab Tareen, Chief Executive Officer K-Electric Limited, Mr. Kimihide Ando, Senior Vice President & Chief Executive Mitsubishi Corporation Pakistan, Mr. Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director Shell Pakistan Limited, Mr. Helmut Von Struve, Managing Director Siemens Pakistan Engineering Company Limited, Mr. Shazad G. Dada, Chief Executive Officer Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited, Mr. Irfan Wahab Khan Chief Executive Officer Telenor Pakistan (PVT) Limited.

The Incoming OICCI President Bruno Olierhoek in his message to the members said that since coming to Pakistan he has developed a deep conviction that Pakistan offers considerable growth potential for existing foreign investors and opportunities for new investors.

He lauded the role of OICCI for promoting Pakistan to potential foreign investors during the Chamber’s regular interaction with foreign business and governmental delegations and senior diplomats based in and outside Pakistan.

He also appreciated the Chamber’s focused and continuing advocacy efforts for streamlining the taxation system, giving practical policy input for increasing the efficiency of energy plants as well as resolving energy supply gap, improving the security environment, especially in Karachi, and its role in taking the Intellectual Property Rights regime in Pakistan to a higher level, all of which is appreciated by the government, media and other key stakeholders. He also informed that OICCI members collectively invested US$ 2.2 billion in 2016 in new capital expenditure for plant, machinery, equipment and infrastructure to meet the growth opportunities in their respective businesses.

Bruno Olierhoek joined Nestlé Pakistan as the CEO in 2015 and prior to that he worked as an international Executive at Nestlé for more than 20 years, serving in Asia, Europe and Africa. He has a wide cross-functional experience and has successfully led a business turnaround, established new start-ups and engaged in a global business strategy development.

Bruno graduated from the European Business Program (BBA Hogeschool Rotterdam and Ecole Supérieure de Bordeaux). He is a dual Dutch and French national, an avid reader, loves visiting the 4 corners of Pakistan and a weekend golfer.
