FAISALABAD, Jan 03 (TNS): The Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah has appeared before the committee formed by the Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi to clear his belief regarding the finality of Prophet (PBUH).

The Pir Hamiduddin Sialvi and his aides alleged that Rana Sanaullah did not believe in finality of Prophet (PBUH) after his statement, in which he termed all the sects have same rights in Pakistan, has sparked strong protest against him.

Punjab law minister clarified before the committee that he strongly believed in finality of Prophet (PBUH), on which committee members expressed their satisfaction and hoped the issue would be resolved amicably. The meeting was chaired by Nizamuddin Sialvi and attended by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Zaeem Qadri and Maulana Rehmat Ali among other clerics.

Sialvi had been demanding resignations of Rana Sanaullah over his remarks on the Ahmadi community in a televised show.

Last month, he had also threatened the Punjab government to enforce the Islamic Sharia within a week or else be ready to face a province-wide protest, which he claimed would bring life to a halt. The spiritual leader had vowed to continue the movement of Khatm-e-Nabuwat, or the finality of Prohethood (pbuh), till his last breath.
