All recruitments in NAB would be made according to merit, fair quota: Javed Iqbal

Islamabad, Feb. 4 (TNS): Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (R) Javed Iqbal on Sunday said that all recruitments in the anti-graft watchdog would be made according to merit and quota allocated to all provinces.

In a statement, NAB chairman said that under Baluchistan quota advertisement for several posts would be announced soon.

He said all recruitments in KP, Sindh and Punjab would also be made under quota system would be made transplant and fair.

Earlier, the NAB chairman had sought report from Secretary Establishment Division (ED) with regard to appointments allegedly made on fake domicile on the quota of Balochistan in various departments of Federal Government.

Taking notice of the recruitment allegedly made in various departments of federal government on fake domicile certificates of Balochistan, the chairman NAB directed secretary Establishment Division (ED) to submit report, so that further inquiry could be conducted about the issuance of domiciles which is imperative to fix the responsibility of the culprits.

Chairman NAB directed the secretary to submit the details of persons recruited in various federal and Balochistan government departments under Aghaz-e-Huqooq-e-Balochistan Package. Secretary Establishment has also been directed by the chairman NAB to submit report about approved posts by the federal government under the Huqooq-e-Balochistan package.

Chairman NAB directed that the report should tell how many people have so far been recruited and how many posts are still lying vacant in Balochistan under the Package.
