Two ‘drug smugglers’ killed in Balochistan

QUETTA, Feb. 6 (TNS): Two suspected drug smugglers were killed while another sustained injuries on Monday in an exchange of firing between the Frontier Corps (FC) in Balochistan’s Chagai district.

According to officials, in the exchange of fire in the Siyah Reg area of Nokkundi a few smugglers managed flee after torching their drugs-loaded vehicle.

They added that the drug smugglers started firing on the FC personnel after they started chasing the drug-loaded vehicles. During the exchange of fire two were killed and one injured smuggler was arrested.

The arrested smuggler was identified as Mazar Khan who is being interrogated by the security agency.

The deceased smugglers were identified as Ilahi Bakhsh and Qadir Jan Hassanzai who hailed from the Aamuri area of the district. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their heirs by levies force in Nukkundi.
